Why property owners call Revive Exteriors

  • We evaluate before we sell

You get photos and a plain answer first. Sometimes the answer is to leave it alone, and we will say so.

  • Options before replacement

Clean it, protect it or rejuvenate it, when the roof or the concrete still has useful life left.

  • Soft wash on every roof

Roofing needs a low-pressure approach. The cleaning solution does the work, not a pressure washer.

  • Trained on what we apply

We are a NexaNano Certified Dealer and Applicator, with roofing and exterior construction backgrounds.

Real jobs. Real before and after.

Clean, protect, rejuvenate, or replace?

Most companies sell one answer. We walk you through all four and tell you which one your property needs.

Rejuvenation or protection?

  1. Clean

Algae, mildew and grime come off. Sometimes that is all a surface needs.

  2. Protect

A clear hydrophobic treatment on a clean roof or slab, checked with a water-beading test.

How the free exterior evaluation works

You see the photos before you decide anything.

  1. Free exterior evaluation

We walk the property, look at the roof, siding and concrete, and take photos of what we find.

  2. A plain answer and your options

Clean it, protect it, rejuvenate it, repair it, replace it, or leave it alone. You see the photos and decide.

  3. Clean first, then treat

Surfaces are cleaned before any treatment goes on. After a protection treatment, we check it with a water-beading test.

Watch a roof soft wash

Those black streaks on your roof are algae, not dirt.

We don’t pressure wash shingles. The cleaning solution goes on at low pressure, sits long enough to work, and the roof is rinsed gently. After that, you can add a protection treatment to help it stay clean longer.

What Evansville weather does to a roof and a driveway

Humid summers, river fog and a winter that freezes and thaws over and over. Here are the local numbers.

Why shingles age early

  • 47.91 inRain and melted snow in an average year at Evansville Regional Airport (NOAA 1991 to 2020 normals). Source
  • 90 nightsA year at or below freezing. On about 75 of them it warms back above 32°F the next day, so water in shingles and concrete freezes and thaws again and again (our math on NOAA’s normals). Source
  • 88.6°FThe average July high. Heat speeds the loss of the oils and volatiles that keep shingles flexible, according to InterNACHI. Source
  • 70%Average relative humidity. ARMA says roof algae grows most in warm, humid conditions. Source
  • 1961The median year Evansville homes were built. Half are older than that (Census ACS 2024 5-year). Source
  • April 2, 2025EF-1 tornadoes on Evansville’s northwest side and northwest of Boonville, per NWS storm reports. Source

Three local partners who kept seeing the same thing

Most homeowners don’t think about their roof until there’s a bucket sitting in the living room.

Revive Exteriors was started by three local business partners with hands-on experience in roofing, exterior construction, property restoration and exterior maintenance. Over and over, they watched property owners get handed a replacement as the only option, even when the roof or the concrete still had useful life left.

So they built a company around the other options. Look first. Explain what we see. Then clean, protect or rejuvenate what can be saved, and say so plainly when something can’t.

Questions people ask before they call

Short answers here. Longer ones on the questions page.

Call or text, Monday to Saturday, 9am to 5pm.

Can an aging roof be restored instead of replaced?

In many cases, yes. If the roof is still structurally sound but the shingles are drying out, losing flexibility or showing their age, rejuvenation or protection may help extend its useful life. We evaluate the roof first. If it needs a repair or a new roof instead, we tell you that.

What is the difference between roof rejuvenation and roof protection?

Rejuvenation is a treatment for aging asphalt shingles, meant to help restore flexibility and address some of the effects of aging. Protection is a hydrophobic treatment that forms a barrier designed to help shield roofing materials from moisture, UV and weather. Some roofs need one, some need a cleaning first, and some need neither.

Do you pressure wash roofs?

No. Roofing materials need a different approach than concrete. We use low-pressure cleaning and treatment methods made for roofing, so the cleaning solution does the work instead of the water pressure.

Can you protect concrete after it is cleaned?

Yes. After cleaning, we can apply a protective treatment designed to help reduce water penetration, staining and weather-related wear on driveways, walks and patios. When we finish, we check it with a water-beading test so you can see it working.

Do you work with commercial or multifamily properties?

Yes. We evaluate residential, commercial, multifamily, HOA and property-management exteriors. On larger properties we walk the buildings, photograph what we find and give you options you can plan and budget in phases.

What areas do you serve?

We are based at 2821 Broadway Ave in Evansville and work across Evansville, Newburgh, Boonville, Haubstadt, Mount Vernon and Princeton. Close to one of those towns but not in it? Call or text and ask.

The evaluation is free. You get photos, a plain answer and your options, even if the answer is that everything is fine.
